The Role We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Pastry Chef De Partie to join our team in Restaurant RenMor with it's state of the art kitchen. The Pastry Chef de Partie will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries and desserts, ensuring that all items meet our standards of excellence in taste, presentation, and consistency. Primary responsibilities… Working alongside and assisting the Head Pasty Chef and Pastry Sous Chef to prepare, bake and present pastries desserts and other baked goods. You must possess an outstanding knowledge of ingredients, seasonality, techniques and cookery. Work alongside the Head Pastry chef and the team to develop a first class pastry section, preparing and presenting pastries to the highest standard, ensuring guest expectations are exceeded with every bite. Ensure that recipes are always followed accurately, controlling portion size and waste. Ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards are maintained in line with company policy and statutory law. Maintain strong and effective relationships with the RenMor Restaurant Manager and their front of house team. Help manage heart of house service areas to include cleanliness, hygiene, stock control and wastage. Engage with Sustainability Lead to ensure the Pastry department is assisting with the need to reduce waste and working to meet our sustainability targets. Mentor junior pastry chefs and bakers, helping them improve their skills and understanding of pastry techniques. Supervise and support the pastry team during daily operations, providing guidance and feedback to ensure productivity and morale. Skills and experience required Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie, or similar role in an upscale dining environment. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating. Ability to follow recipes and produce consistent results. A creative flair and a passion for pastry and dessert innovation. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Culinary qualification or relevant certification in pastry arts preferred. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices. Salary and Contract This is a full-time permanent position based on a 48-hour working week including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
