Systems Design Airborne Systems - Graduate Programme 2025 Salary : £31,500 plus a £3000 joining bonus. Location: Stevenage with possibility of Bristol Placements Working Pattern: Our roles will typically allow a blend of on-site and at-home working to suit the needs of the role and the individual. You will have support from the whole team both virtually and in person, as well as access to our range of high-tech lab equipment. A Dynamic Working Agreement will be formalised between yourself and each line manager whilst on the scheme to set out working patterns and expectations. The opportunity: Within the Systems Design Airborne Systems (SDAS) function, our main focus is the design of airborne weapon system elements and integrating our weapons onto airborne platforms.. Integration is a key enabler for MBDA air launched weapon systems to provide end users war fighting capability. Close cooperation with Platform Design Organisations and End Users should equate to effective Weapon integration and deliver more efficient integration programmes for future projects. This also offers a great opportunity to engage with internal and external customers Experience to be gained: You will be exposed to a variety of MBDA UK projects, products and concepts, gaining a real understanding of the technologies and platform types, and the future of platform integration. There will be a wide variety of interaction with internal MBDA stakeholders, allowing you to build up a network around the company and also interactions with our customers building bridges and understanding the platform requirements. You will be placed across an array of different SDAS teams, gaining a good technical understanding of the different products MBDA manufactures. You may choose to undertake one six-month placement in another part of the company or potentially in one of MBDA’s international offices. Alternatively, the placement could be external to MBDA with another defence supplier or with MoD. This role is suited to those that enjoy the creativity and practicality of working with problems to arrive at logical solutions. Our teams will support you to become a fully integrated member with the opportunity to assume an increasing level of responsibility. We offer varied roles with scope to choose placements based on interests and skills. Our people are adaptable and the role is varied and fast paced. We offer training and experience to learn systems engineering methods and tools, such as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), in addition to training given as part of the Early Careers Programme. Systems Engineers work with people across all engineering fields and business teams, meeting suppliers and customers and engaging with international MBDA colleagues. There is also opportunity to travel both within the UK and potentially internationally. We also offer a wide support network of experienced engineers with support to work towards Chartership if desired (100% of fees paid during Early Careers Program).
