We currently have an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse post within our North Manchester Specialist Community Mental Health Teams based in our exciting new and modern base at the Central Park Hub.
Mental health services in Manchester are commencing their journey around Community Transformation. Working towards a new community mental health framework vision for a place-based community mental health model.
As part of this new model, we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual with strong clinical skills who is motivated to support the development of our Specialist CMHTs; with the focus on monitoring and improving the physical health and wellbeing of our patients, using the PHIT assessment tool, as well as safe and effective administration and delivery of medication interventions.
The successful candidate will be an experienced RMN who will play a key role in the development of a new Physical Health and Medication Management Hub across clinics in our North Manchester SCMHTs.

Working in a dedicated pathway within a Specialist Community Mental Health Team, the post holder will deliver on all the aspects of physical health care and medication management which includes managing depot clinics. The post holder will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse.
The post holder will work closely with the Senior Practitioners for Nursing, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Medical staff and Care Coordinators and the wider MDT to deliver high quality, safepatient care. The post holder will always work to promote parity of esteem.
They will be responsible for the Infection Prevention and control of the physical health clinics. The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users’ and their Carers. The post holder will hold effective communication skills and work closely with a wide network of services such as GP’s, other mental health services and third sector providers.
This will respect individuality, values, culture and religious diversity of clients and colleagues and thus contributing to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs.
