Job summary 2 x Part Time GP RECEPTIONIST/CARE NAVIGATOR BAND 2 EQUIVALENT Regular weekly hours to include afternoon shifts until 6.30pm Mon to Friday plus one morning a week plus relief cover for four other team members. A vacancy has arisen for a part-time Receptionist to join our busy and friendly GP practice team. We are looking for someone who is friendly and patient with good interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should have previous GP receptionist experience, good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload. I.T. skills are essential preferably with previous scanning and coding. It is also essential applicants have a flexible approach to work and working hours as relief cover for 4 other team members both early morning and afternoon/evening is included in the role. Answering all incoming telephone calls. Diverting them as appropriate. And/or taking and passing on messages. 2. Dealing with all telephone queries/requests from patients efficiently, courteously and confidentially, and acting as liaison with the Doctors as necessary. 3. Filing patient records and correspondence when necessary. 2. Registering new patients onto EMIS system using SMART card to connect to spine. 3. Open Mail 4. Action any workflow tasks on EMIS Web 5. Telephone patients regarding results 6. To send letters to patients as necessary to call for checks up or inform them of things when unable to contact by telephone. 7. Photocopying of notes and other information. 8. Faxing/Emailing information when authorised to do so i.e. medication information to hospital. 9. Changing details on notes, i.e. change of address. 10. Recording and informing others about RIP patients. 11. To ensure clinical staff receive medical records as requested. 12.
