Job summary An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join the Planned Care Unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, a busy elective admissions surgical ward. The applicant must have excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and undertake new skills. Planned Care is a 16 inpatient bedded ward. We strive to provide excellent patient care and create effective but safe patient flow throughout the hospital. The applicant would work as a skilled member of the team ensuring a high standard of care was delivered to patients being electively admitted for surgery both as day cases and in patients. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work or working towards Band 3 level, and recent acute hospital experience would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to progress towards the Associate Nurse qualification.
