We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced primary teacher to work at a lovely primary school in Barking and Dagenham until the end of the academic year.
The Role
This role is to take over one of the year 6 classes in the school. You will take on full class teaching responsibilities until the end of the academic year. You will work alongside other class teachers in the year group and be given time each week to prepare planning. The class is settled into the new academic year and is engaged in learning. Pupils are working at various levels, and planning is differentiated in order for all pupils to access the curriculum and make progress.
As a year 6 teacher, you will be directly involved in preparing pupils for national testing in the summer term, and you will ideally have previous experience teaching in year 6 or upper KS2. There are pupils with additional needs in the class, and TA support is provided to enable these pupils to access learning activities.

This larger than average primary school is based in Barking and Dagenham and is a popular school within the local community. They have a diverse intake of pupils who make good progress whilst at the school. They encourage lifelong learning in a supportive and creative environment. There is an established and experienced senior management team, and there are good opportunities for career development in the school.
Due to this role starting mid-year, the school is looking for a teacher who has previous experience teaching in year 6 or upper key stage 2. This is a contract role and will be paid to scale from day 1 of the contract.
