Electrical Contracts Manager | Nottingham Based | Permanent \nMonday - Friday, Hybrid Available | 50-60K Per Annum | Bonus | Company Car\n\nBarker Ross are recruiting for an Electrical Contracts Manager for a fast growing Sports & Horticultural lighting company.\n\nWe are looking for this candidate to oversee and deliver a range of electrical projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency. This role requires excellent leadership skills, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to managing multiple projects from conception to completion.\n\nAs an integral part of their growing team, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of electrical projects across various sectors, working closely with clients, engineers, and site teams.\nKey Responsibilities Project Planning & Management\n\nKey responsibilities:\n- Take full ownership of electrical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.\n- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all financial targets are met.\n- Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to define project requirements.\n- Oversee procurement of materials, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.\n- Monitor and track project progress, addressing any challenges or deviations.\nTechnical Oversight & Compliance\n- Review and approve electrical designs, ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards.\n- Conduct site inspections to monitor quality control, safety compliance, and progress.\n- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.\n- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), IEE regulations, and health & safety standards.\nTeam Leadership & Coordination\n- Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, and technical teams, ensuring high productivity and performance.\n- Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring effective communication across all project stakeholders.\n- Conduct project progress meetings and provide regular status updates to senior management and clients.\n- Support and mentor junior engineers and team members to drive professional development.\nReporting & Documentation\n- Maintain and manage all project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, change orders, and safety records.\n- Ensure all required permits and approvals are obtained in a timely manner.\n- Provide management with detailed project performance reports, highlighting risks, solutions, and milestones.\n\nQualifications and experience:\n\n- Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical project management, within mechanical and electrical (M&E), lighting, or renewable energy sectors.\n- Proven experience managing projects in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure settings.\nTechnical Skills\n- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and energy solutions.\n- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD, or Revit).\n- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS7671, etc.).\nSoft Skills\n- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\n- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with clients and contractors.\n- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nFor more information please apply or call Alex on (phone number removed) or email (url removed)\n\nBarker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
