Junior Merchandiser Role
The Junior Merchandiser reports to a Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser. The role involves significant merchandising responsibilities and collaboration within the wider team. The goal is to maximize commercial opportunities through effective inventory management, demand driving, forecasting, and markdown reduction to maximize profit.
Responsibilities:
1. Present weekly trade information and generate performance data for promotional activities.
2. Re-forecast, manage, buy, and cancel products as needed.
3. Review the WSSI in-season and recommend actions to optimize trading opportunities.
4. Support departmental control of markdown spend.
5. Identify patterns and implement risk mitigation strategies in TF Management.
6. Produce analysis to inform future range planning.
7. Prepare and present corrective action plans to manage dormancy levels.
8. Pre-empt future issues using supplier insights and shipping information.
9. Calculate color/size ratios considering MOQs and lead times to ensure optimal availability.
10. Collaborate with the buying team to develop a commercially successful range.
11. Support execution of PARETO ranking.
12. Gather information for strategy, range control, and sign-off meetings using range plans/frameworks.
13. Maintain action plans for critical path milestones.
14. Assist in department production and fabric planning.
15. Coordinate with suppliers on updates to production and fabric plans.
16. Communicate with the Partnership Team.
17. Serve as SME for AM Role.
18. Perform ad hoc duties and provide administrative support as required.
Skills and Experience:
* A relevant degree in fashion or equivalent work experience demonstrating required skills.
* Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills.
* A keen interest in fashion and customer focus.
* Driven and motivated.
* Retail experience is essential.

Ways of Working
We offer a hybrid working pattern, typically three days per week at our Manchester City Centre head office, located in the Northern Quarter. Our core hours are 10 am to 4 pm, with flexible working patterns to suit individual needs.
