The IT Department is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team. Reporting into the Lead IT Engineer, the new IT Support Engineer will work as part of the IT function of Parkingeye to provide technical support and advice to users, as well as carrying out server maintenance activities.
Duties will include the setup and configuration of desktop devices, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, and providing an accurate and complete log of work requests for jobs received by email, self-service, or telephone, ensuring the ServiceDesk system is updated on a regular basis.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support in relation to desktop and software issues ensuring users receive a prompt and responsive service whilst making sure all stakeholders are kept fully up to date with their calls.
* Setup and configure desktop devices, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
* Provide an accurate and complete log of work requests for jobs received by email, self-service, or telephone, ensuring the ServiceDesk system is updated on a regular basis.
* Carry and move equipment including desktop machines and keep the asset register up to date.
Formal Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Windows 10 and Windows Server) and Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of IT networking technology.
* Knowledge of ITIL.
Personal Attributes & Skills:
* Ability to investigate problems.
* Patient & methodical with an aptitude for problem-solving.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
* Self-motivated & able to work on own initiative but also as part of a team.
* Ability to be flexible around working hours and open to working weekends and bank holidays.
