Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Buyer to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing engineering materials and components from both UK and overseas suppliers, possessing excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers in the UK and overseas to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery performance.
2. Procurement: Source and purchase engineering materials, components, and services in line with company policies.
3. Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure supply chain efficiency.
4. Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all purchased materials and components meet the required specifications and standards.
5. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance.
7. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

4. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics.
9. Working knowledge of Sage 200.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
