Our mission is: Providing high-quality, compassionate care for our communities
Our vision to 2030 is: To be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service
Job overview
We are recruiting for a Nurse Team Manager - Critical Care who shares our vision to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, committed, motivated, and highly experienced critical care nurse to join the existing team of B7 Senior Sisters led by the Critical Care Matron.
You will provide early intervention, support, and clinical expertise to acutely unwell/deteriorating patients through role modelling, expert clinical skills, promotion of best practice, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, and providing education. This post will take a leadership and supervisory role in developing, implementing, and evaluating standards of care in line with evidence-based guidelines.
You will work closely with the critical care senior team but have your own clear areas of responsibility and accountability and be expected to contribute to the safe care of our patients and lead on new developments - both locally and nationally led initiatives.
At the heart of everything we do are our core values: Include, Respect, and Improve. We encourage you to embrace these values throughout the recruitment process and in your role with us.
Main duties of the job
You will have proven experience in critical care nursing but will also be seeking to expand abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork, leadership, and delivery of excellent patient care across the Trust.
You will provide specialist nursing care and expertise, both in delivering direct patient care and in support of other staff caring for the acutely unwell and deteriorating patients across the ENH NHS Trust.
To expertly manage the ventilated, cardiovascular unstable patient both within and external to the Critical Care Unit.
You will be required to participate in internal rotation to night duty.
