Our schools in Witham are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (Special Needs) to join our team starting in September. As a Teaching Assistant (Special Needs), the successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering personalised support for students with special educational needs.
- Work closely with teachers to monitor and assess student progress.
- Provide individual and small group support to students, addressing their unique needs.
- Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student development.
- Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
