CRC are working on behalf of one of our clients to find an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

The Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineers role will be working with the M&E design team, providing support, and assisting the senior design engineers, in producing Mechanical Services Design throughout the full project lifecycle. You will be undertaking full Mechanical Systems Design and will be working on a variety of projects including Educational, Residential, Commercial and many more.

The role will be as follows:
1. To implement company procedures policy.
2. To undertake mechanical design and assist the project manager with various types of projects in accordance with the company aims and policies.
3. To assist and be part of the design team and provide Mechanical engineering support to all engineers, Senior and Junior.
4. Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
5. Maintain and expand client database.
6. Carry out surveys and produce reports.
7. Carry out quality inspections of projects.
8. Use CAD systems in line with company procedures.
9. Undertake duties as required by the Director of the group
Experience of:
• Producing detailed specifications
• Experience and knowledge of current Building Regulations / GLA London Plan / Renewable technologies / Thermal Modelling / SAPs/ SBEM Calculations/ EPC’s / BREEAM / Passivhaus Standards / CIBSE TM59 / Overheating strategies and calculations.
• Productions of design calculations both manual and using software
• Production of manual drawing mark-ups
• Basic Autocad skills, experience of using Bluebeam / Revit would also be advantageous
• Assistance with the production of tender packages • Assisting with producing tender analysis of returned tender packages
• Assisting budget costings for all aspects of services
• Carry out site surveys
• Production of condition reports
• Supporting Senior Engineers with mentoring Junior Staff
• Direct Client Liaison
