Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our team in Swindon. This is a full-time position offering a competitive annual salary of £46,000, providing you with the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a well-equipped facility. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on HGVs in line with manufacturer standards.
Perform inspections and safety checks to ensure vehicles meet legal and safety regulations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
Complete detailed job cards, service records, and relevant paperwork accurately.
Work closely with team members to provide high-quality service and ensure operational efficiency.
Maintain a safe and organized workspace, following all health and safety guidelines.Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience in HGV maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, with familiarity with HGV systems.
Attention to Detail: Ability to deliver high standards of workmanship and keep accurate maintenance records.
License (Preferred): An HGV license is an advantage but not essential.Benefits:
