DRIVER WAREHOUSE ROLE IN TOCKWITH.
Job Details:
• £13/hour
• Full Time, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday – hours accrued to be taken off in lieu where possible, when not possible paid as overtime at flat rate
• Permanent

The Client:
My client is a privately owned, well established and reputable company based in Tockwith. They supply contract furniture, i.e. chairs, settees, tables and bedroom sets predominantly into the healthcare, hotel and leisure industries.
The Role:
They now require an experienced Driver Warehouse candidate to join their existing team, delivering products throughout the UK. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Key duties of the Driver Warehouse candidate will include:
• Gather, pack, prepare and load goods for dispatching: palletising / transporting and delivering items to customers:
1. Picking & collating items from a delivery note and loading van(s), securing the loads to ensure safe transportation.
2. Onward delivery to customers / suppliers either as a doorstep delivery or as a placement.
• Assisting with loading and receiving goods to/from vehicles/trailers.
• Receiving and handling goods into the warehouse:
1. unpacking, arranging and storing as applicable checking for damage, reporting any damage or discrepancies to relevant persons.
• Reviewing route plans and propose alterations to routes where applicable/necessary.
• Collecting and loading goods from suppliers:
1. Checking the load against collection notes and supplier delivery notes, ensuring all goods are loaded and secured and transported safely and with no damage.
2. Reporting any discrepancies / issues.
• Assembly of some items will be required: flat packs, tables – including table bases and tops.
• Issuing customers with delivery notes and getting them signed and dated accordingly.
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, comply with H&S rules and regs, policies and procedures.
Driver Warehouse Specification:
The ideal Driver Warehouse candidate:
• MUST have a full UK driving licence, (ideally no points or endorsements).
• Will have experience in a similar role, i.e. driver and warehouse experience. Driver experience is essential.
• Be able to lift and handle goods, physical fitness and strength required for this aspect.
• Will be customer-oriented: communicative, efficient, polite and friendly.
Desirable but not essential:
• Forklift operator licence.
• Basic DIY skills/knowledge would be advantageous - being able to assemble flat pack items, build table bases.
Own transport is essential due to location.
