Transport & Logistics Planner
GBP36,940 plus bonus
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
This role is pivotal for enabling the business to continue growing from strength to strength. You will work closely with existing transport subcontracts and bring new subcontractors into the business, as well as collaborating with existing customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring loads are correctly exported/imported (knowledge of required codes/paperwork)
2. Maintaining relationships with existing haulier partners/customers
3. Regularly reviewing performance
4. Bringing on new customers/hauliers/subcontractors
5. Resource/allocate loads daily to achieve the best possible margin
6. Ensure deliveries are scheduled on time and in line with customer expectations
7. Monitor delivery performance and notify customers of any delays
8. Work to set targets in line with operational KPIs
9. Ensure all information is accurate and up to date within TMS
Minimum Requirements:
1. Background working within transport (Essential)
2. Strong relationship with existing subcontractors (Desirable)
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
5. Knowledge of export/import procedures
6. Good understanding of current market rates
7. Good understanding of all required customs documents
8. Focused and target-driven
