Nuclear Project Engineer - Contract
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid)
Contract Type: Ongoing Inside IR35
Rate: Negotiable Based on Experience
Our client is a large Nuclear Energy specialist involved in the design, build, and maintenance of Nuclear Power systems. They also manufacture turbines and other equipment for the industry. They are currently looking for a Project Engineer to work in the production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer from within Production & Manufacturing.
You will be responsible for producing a production plan and monitoring it, making the project your own. Your role will involve bringing all parties together to achieve the best products.
Responsibilities
1. Delivery of items, components or assemblies in a timely and costly manner.
2. Allocate and spend the budget assigned to production and anything under your control.
3. Provide continual reporting on production, tracking progress and milestones hit.
4. Lead the development of production and other activities.
5. Analyse the plan and ensure the project is on time.
6. Regularly feed updates back to the Project Manager and Cost Engineer.
7. Coordinate manufacturing operations with procurement and inform of production stages.
8. Lead on any customer visits.
9. Be the face of production for the customer and ensure they get to know the PM.
10. Ensure all installation activities are overseen and coordinated.
11. Track reports.
12. Be the first point of call for anyone in production.
Requirements
1. A strategic thinker.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Experience in producing detailed reports.
4. A degree or similar.
5. Green belt or similar certification.
6. 5 years of experience at this level.
7. High level of MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
8. Manufacturing background (Desirable).
9. Power BI experience (Desirable).
