Overview:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit a Touring Helicopter Pilot on a permanent basis due to growth. This position will be based at their Staverton (Gloucestershire) depot with occasional travel across the UK to support other bases. As a Touring Helicopter Pilot, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Our Client is a leading provider of mission-critical helicopter services to the air ambulance and police sectors throughout the UK, providing world-class operations that help to save lives and protect communities every day.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Fly for the air ambulance, police, and offshore sectors. Health and safety responsibilities and a strong understanding of required Aviation regulations.
Essential Experience:
Helicopter Base Pilot: Either:
1. 1000 hours pilot in command of aircraft, with 500 hours as pilot in command on twin turbine helicopters; or
2. 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS/Police operations, with 500 hours as pilot in command under supervision and 100 hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.
Must have the following in addition to either of the above:
- 2000 hours minimum total helicopter experience.
- 500 hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation.
- 20 hours VFR at night as pilot in command.
- Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, Right to Work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualified and instrument rated on the EC135.
- Current or recent HEMS experience.
- Experience of NVIS operations.
