The purpose of the Materials planner role is to drive customer service levels and reduce manufacturing and supply chain costs through effective material management via forecasting, system data management and item set up. Reporting to the Demand and Capacity Manager, the Materials Planner will play a key role within the supply team to drive efficient operational business practices through effective communication and collaborative cross functionally working throughout the business. What you can expect: Prepare and send weekly, fortnightly and/or monthly forecasts for managed supply base and analyse response ensuring customer service requirements can be met. Communicate any concerns with Materials Lead on Supplier ability to fulfil demand. Build successful relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external. Support NPD projects impacting future material forecasts. Manage materials master data on system. Assist with the minimisation of write off of materials for any NPD projects. Manage weekly OTIF reporting understanding and reporting reasoning for failure. Effectively communicate with cross functional departments when last minute plan changes are required. Support the Materials Lead and Demand and Capacity Manager on various Supply Chain related projects as and when required. What we are looking for: Supply Chain qualification preferable Prior experience working within a dynamic FMCG essential. Experience in materials planning in a fast-paced changing environment Ability to analyse reports and present recommendations to ensure the delivery of best business practice in a Supply Planning Environment. Excellent communication skills to ensure success negotiation with suppliers. Excellent team working skills to deliver business solutions from cross functional teams.
