To drive governance, service development and multi- agency strategies to achieve the public health outcomes for which sexual health services are contracted. Line manage several highly specialist sexual health teams. Support senior staff within the service to carry out their roles through the provision of professional and specialist clinical leadership. Plans and organise a broad range of complex activities including staff training, recruitment, appraisal, supervision, grievance, disciplinary and management of sickness absence. Develop partnership networks, ensures effective risk management and service policy composition. Responsible for the operational management of the department including budgetary and personnel resources and leads on the strategic development of its services. Responsible for the achievements and reporting of local and national sexual health performance targets. Ensures the teams and services maintain the highest standards and performance requirements under the corporate and clinical governance procedures. Advising on the specialist Department of Health (DoH) and Health Protection data collecting and reporting systems which are mandatory to Sexual Health services. Ensuring patient data is protected and is held confidentially observing NHS and DoH guidelines. Responsibility for taking a management/leadership function across the wide sexual health services.
