The Service
We support young people aged 12 – 25 who are having problems as a result of their own alcohol or substance use to build on their strengths and develop strategies to initiate and maintain their own recovery from problematic drug and alcohol use.
We work closely with other professionals involved with the young person to provide a multi-disciplinary support package.
The Role
* Provide one-to-one support to young people and manage your own cases with support from the service manager.
* Provide group education.
* Attend and facilitate events to represent the service.
* Maintain accurate case notes and provide information for service reports.
* Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals.
You Will
* Currently have a SVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification or have the ability to work towards one.
* Have experience of supporting young people who face challenges and have an understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
* Have good communication skills both written and verbal and be competent using IT systems and packages such as Word and Excel.
* Have a full driving licence and use of a car for work.
