Purpose of the role To ensure the efficient operation of the Depot operation in terms of the Health Safety and Environmental aspects. To lead a team of qualified individuals with enthusiasm and to be self-motivated and organised. There will also be a requirement to deputise for the production manager during their absence. Other duties include managing a fleet of Mobile plant and supervising contractors to ensure the site is operated in accordance with all Health, Safety, and environmental legislation. Key accountabilities To ensure that the company Health and Safety Policy, Local Managers Rules and all Risk Assessments and Method Statements relating to work or works under your control are complied with. To liaise closely with work colleagues, Depot Manager, Suppliers and Contractors to ensure the smooth and efficient running and programming of the Depot Operation To provide continuous supervision of Depot activities, to ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilisation of labour, plant and material resources. To continue you own progress by means of CPD (Continuous Professional Development) and by attending training courses and seminars as determined by Heidelberg materials. To identify, develop and implement improvements to the sustainability of the site To develop a planned maintenance scheme that ensures maximum plant availability.
