Job Description:
As a Fleet Co-Ordinator at Hireco, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fleet, ensuring the efficient maintenance, scheduling, and management of all vehicles and equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our fleet remains compliant with regulations, optimizes efficiency, and meets customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and schedule fleet vehicles and equipment to meet business and customer demands.
2. Oversee the regular maintenance, servicing, and repairs of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they meet company standards.
3. Liaise with external suppliers and contractors for the timely servicing, repairs, and maintenance of fleet vehicles.
4. Monitor fleet performance, including fuel efficiency, uptime, and maintenance costs, implementing improvements where necessary.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fleet operations, including insurance, licensing, inspections, and servicing.
6. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to fleet operations.
7. Assist in the procurement, disposal, and fleet replacement strategy.
8. Support the management of fleet insurance and handle claims or incidents as required.
9. Work closely with the operations team to optimize fleet availability and ensure timely service delivery.
10. Handle any fleet-related issues or emergencies in a professional and efficient manner.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in fleet coordination, fleet management, or logistics, ideally within a hire or plant equipment industry.
2. Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, vehicle management, and safety compliance.
3. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Proficient in the use of fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Full, clean driving license (additional qualifications or knowledge in fleet management software is a plus).
7. Ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively, and meet deadlines.
8. Knowledge of the hire industry and its operational challenges is an advantage.
