Systems Administrator - charity - mixed home and office based - REF 963
Hours: Flexible 37 hours (7.5 hour days taken fluidly with early or later starts)
Location: Work from home and office based
Salary: Circa £36,000
Holidays: 25, rising to 29 with years of service plus statutory
Pension: 4% matched until probation, then rising to 6% thereafter

Main Purpose of the Job
The post holder supports all technical services and resources within the charity and third party services.
Main Duties:
1. Help deliver the IT Roadmap in line with product development plan
2. Deliver projects assigned by the Head of IT utilising all available resources to achieve objectives
3. Be involved in and deliver system changes and platform upgrades
4. Support management of key business projects to ensure they are delivered on-time, within budget and in line with the project requirements
5. Undertake user acceptance testing to ensure business systems meet requirements, and can be adopted by the organisation.
6. Work with internal teams to transform ideas and wishes into a structured delivery plan.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to manage implementation, training options and support for all business critical platforms
8. Participate in key working groups across the organisation as needed
9. Provide and maintain documentation of platform services, architecture and operation
10. Keep abreast of enhancements to new and existing technologies in the marketplace – key areas include LMS/VLE, CRM and CMS systems, payment gateway providers and e-learning authoring tools
11. Maintain the IT Tracker to regularly monitor Business Controls including the performance of all platforms – taking into account backups routines, security patches, user permissions and restrictions and mailbox management
12. Document, report and resolve IT Tracker warnings, errors, security issues in a timely manner with 3rd parties via the online Ticket System
13. Manage IT Support Tickets ensuring requests are processed within agreed timescales
14. Escalate all business control risks to the Head of IT / Senior Management Team
15. Report and present department KPIs and systems performance at the monthly IT Technology Advisory Committee meeting
16. Support the IT Technical Lead with the implementation and testing of the Corrective Actions Plan, Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery process
17. Complete server administration tasks, diagnostics and resolutions to ensure minimal business interruption
Experience
Essential
1. Experience of contributing to the strategic development of IT within a business environment
2. Microsoft Systems
3. Experience with SQL databases (Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL)
Desirable
1. Crystal Reporting
2. Systems/Web Programming (PHP/SQL)
3. Skilled in the use of sound project management principles
4. Experience of web server management (Apache) and web applications
5. Experience of mobile platform development
6. Servicing webinars and online meetings
