Finance Business Partner needed in Bexleyheath Paying £343.07 per hr ref 1428707 Full time hours on a temporary basis Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive Finance Business Partner to provide financial advice and support to our defined service area. You will lead revenue and capital monitoring, deliver savings, and manage the budget-setting and closure of accounts processes. As a key liaison between finance and other departments, you will ensure financial strategies align with business objectives and that financial information is relevant and balanced. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning. Analyse financial performance and provide insights to drive business decisions. Ensure financial data analytics are used to inform budget monitoring and long-term financial planning. Business Partnering: Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts. Provide financial expertise and support to drive strategic initiatives. Spend time in the designated service area to become an integral part of the management team and understand the service area thoroughly. Ensure managers receive necessary financial management training and understand Financial Regulations. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Advise Heads of Finance Business Partnering on matters that should be referred to the Chief Financial Officer (S151 role). Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency. Develop and maintain robust financial controls and procedures. Work closely with the Heads of Finance Business Partnering to develop and improve the Integra Financial Management System. Risk Management: Continually review and report on quantified financial risks and opportunities. Advise on how to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities. Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate staff through effective communication, professional guidance, support, and development. Customer Focus: Develop self-service finance options and reduce finance support where possible. Provide advice and support to Members, management board, directors, and deputy directors on financial issues. Project Support: Ensure effective financial support to programmes and projects.
