We are supporting one of our clients based in Southend-On-Sea, a manufacturing company producing bespoke seating products for the cinema sector, delivering to clients around the world. They are seeking an experienced Head of Refurbishment to join the business. The role involves driving the growth of the department by increasing client spend, with an annual target of £2 million. This includes expanding into new sectors such as hotels, pub chains, and offices. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion, meeting deadlines, and using the Project Tracker to monitor progress in collaboration with the Project Team. The role also involves managing budgets, liaising with the Finance team, and actively finding cost-saving opportunities. Main Responsibilities Facilitate the growth of the department by increasing the spend of existing clients. Further grow the department by chasing down other cinemas, theatres and auditoriums and aim to expand into other sectors such as hotels, pub chains and offices for contract works. To facilitate the completion of projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ensure all deadlines are met. To use and update the Project Tracker daily working closely with the Project Team to always ensure completeness – to be treated as a live document. Liaise with the Finance team and Project Procurement Specialist in relation to budgets and finances Act in a pro-active way to cut costs. Work in conjunction with the Sales team to form a handover for each project, book in handover meetings as necessary and ensure all relevant information is shared with the team. Oversee in-house production and take over the planning schedule in line with this. Oversee Quality Control of refurbishment projects. In the event of client dissatisfaction/complaint, ensure that an active approach is taken to investigate, resolve and report to all parties involved. Always ensure that things are dealt with in a timely manner and provide clear and concise information to the client. Attend Project and Sales Meetings when scheduled & fully prepare any information that will be needed. Communication Ensure clear, unambiguous communication with no open-ended conclusions. Use the phone for communication when possible, followed by email. Respond to emails promptly, within the same day. Maintain constant communication with clients, suppliers, production, and sales. Team & Organisational Work To ensure confidentiality on all appropriate matters. To ensure that all work is of the highest quality whilst complying with all company standards. To foster a ‘can do’ culture by actively seeking solutions to problems. To be responsible for conforming to the policies and procedures as set out by the team handbook, including health & safety requirements and attending courses as directed. To attend staff meetings as required. This is an on-site position based in Southend-on-Sea. Salary range to be confirmed.
