Are you a natural strategist with an urge to contribute to racing teams’ success on the track? Our client is a prestigious F1 team with an exciting opportunity for a Senior Strategy Engineer to join them on their journey.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be responsible for providing support to the Drivers, Race Engineers and Performance Engineers; ensuring they’re provided with objective and factual information to assist decision-making. You will lead with the production of event reporting materials, and support post-event analysis; including counterfactual analysis, to ensure due diligence and feed-forward learning.
Your day to day might look a little like this:
* Ensure that decision makers are provided with current, accurate and relevant information at all times throughout an event
* Produce all data required to maintain databases and tools
* Carry out effective team member performance management
* Provide feedback to in house software development after each event
* Assist with the free practice, qualifying and test sessions run plans to achieve goals set out by Head of Strategy
A bit about you
You’ll have 5+ years technical experience of high-level Motorsport within Vehicle Performance.
A few other key skills our client is looking for:
* Logical approach to research, problem-solving and reporting
* Able to support F1 events from both the UK and at the track
* Formula One trackside engineering experience
* A degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, Mathematics or Physics
* Relevant Master’s degree
