Job summary We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player who can demonstrate high standards of administrative skills to join the Medico Legal Team. The successful candidate will be based at Seaton Delaval however, may be required to work on other sites within the Trust to ensure a high quality service is provided at all times. The successful candidate must be flexible and able to adjust to the requirements of the service to cover various shifts, and may be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays to meet the demands of the service. This is a demanding role and the post holder must be able to work under pressure to meet the needs of the service. Full training will be given to allow the successful candidate to work as part of the team. Experience of working with the general public and being able to demonstrate professionalism at all times is an essential part of this role. Main duties of the job Provide timely, accurate and comprehensive computer input into the Medico-Legal database to achieve efficient recording and process of Medico-Legal and Subject Access requests. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of Subject Access Request and of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues and third parties are essential for this role as well as good keyboard skill and numeracy and literacy skills. Experience of working in a hospital based Health Records and an understanding of the NHS organisation would be advantageous. The successful applicant will be required to work as a member of the team to ensure that a seamless service is provided for the customers.
