IT Manager (R&D) Work for an innovative technology business as their IT Manager for their R&D site as they scale and grow in the UK. Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to lead our IT initiatives at our newly acquired R&D facility in Oxfordshire. Reporting to the Global Head of IT (R&D), you will be the IT Site Lead, partnering with some of the brightest minds in the industry to solve tomorrow's problems. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with R&D: Work closely with the R&D function to select and implement application solutions that will drive our business forward. Infrastructure Enhancement: Upgrade and enhance our network infrastructure to ensure it is robust and secure. Stakeholder Management: Engage with business leaders in Engineering and R&D to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Project Delivery: Be responsible for the IT requirements for the R&D labs. Participate in planning, design and execution phases. Manage projects through external partners, ensuring successful implementation and execution. Supplier Management: Work collaboratively with technical teams and external strategic partners to deliver technical solutions and resolve IT issues Onsite Presence: Initially, be onsite 5 days per week to support the newly commissioned office, with the opportunity for hybrid working in the future. Profile A successful IT Manager should have: Proven experience as an IT Manager, Enterprise Applications Manager, IT Business Partner, or similar role within R&D, Engineering, or Manufacturing environments. Expertise in managing applications such as PLM, LIMS, ERP, CAD, or similar. Broad knowledge of IT, including network, infrastructure, data, and applications. Strong understanding of business processes and IT systems critical to organisational operations. Excellent project management skills, including risk assessment, recovery strategy development, and solution implementation. Effective communication skills to engage with various stakeholders, including senior management, business units, IT staff, vendors, and regulators. Adaptability to changing business needs and the ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field preferred. Job Offer A competitive salary range of £75,000 - £85,000 £6,000 Car Allowance 25 days holiday. Private Medical. Income Protection.
