About The Team:
The SRUC Centre for Enhanced Learning and Teaching is part of Scotland's Rural College (SRUC). This Centre focuses on improving the quality of learning and teaching through various initiatives and strategies.
The Opportunity:
This is a temporary 0.4 FTE post to cover key elements of the academic Enhancement Officer. The post holder will work with the Academic Enhancement Lead (Student Journey) to support and deliver SRUC's vision to be the leading national provider of further and higher education programmes as a 21st century rural enterprise university, focusing on encouraging and implementing best practice in delivering an inclusive and excellent student journey. It includes:
Student Journey
Coordinate SRUC's Peer Support Activities
Coordinate SRUC's involvement in the Scottish Tertiary Enhancement Programme (STEP), including delivering relevant Theme activities.
Contribute to, support, and when required deliver staff development focused on SRUC's student engagement and tertiary enhancement activity.
Networks
Participate as a member of appropriate networks and working groups in the area of the student journey as required.
Support internal and external networks to support the development and delivery of student journey priorities.
Represent the Academic Enhancement Lead (Student Journey) as and when required.
Any other duties commensurate with the grade and focus of the post.
Qualifications:
A first degree or relevant professional qualification.
