We are in search of a skilled Technical Architect to become a part of our expanding team. Your role will be crucial in designing and implementing our group infrastructure, focusing on our current setup and cloud integrations. As a Technical Architect you will utilise expertise in various architecture domains, along with specialised skills and knowledge, to define, deliver, and support the design and development of solutions that meet the business requirements and align with the target enterprise architecture vision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the Architecture, Infrastructure Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure the comprehensiveness of all solutions and to synchronise our architecture with business goals.
2. Oversee the designing and implementation of infrastructure solutions that are suitable for deployment in on-premise as well as cloud-based settings.
3. Develop architectural designs, concepts, and standards related to network topology, designs, patterns, principles, and standards.
4. Develop detailed technical blueprints, translate overarching business needs into Technology Architectures that align with the Strategic Architecture.
5. Create solutions that are suitable for the intended purpose, meet the needs of the business, adhere to the specified criteria, and align with the strategic architectural direction.
6. Assist in the advancement of enterprise architecture and infrastructure technical standards, guidelines, and their integration within the organisation.
7. Present designs in the Architectural Design Forum as deemed suitable.
8. Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies and resources to improve system efficiency and reliability.
9. Create and uphold a precise representation of our network architecture.
10. Develop and uphold detailed architectural documentation, promote knowledge sharing among team members and assist in the enhancement of architectural procedures.
11. Collaborate with vendors to supervise a program of work and procurement, as well as manage the configuration and installation of various network devices and services.
12. Provide leadership and guidance to the team members, ensuring awareness of current industry trends and best practices in architecture.
About You

1. Proven track record of delivering significant, complex business change projects within a comparable sized company.
2. Broad experience in designing and implementing solutions for large systems.
3. Comprehensive expertise in enterprise infrastructure and applications.
4. Proficient in architectural documentation and well-versed in Enterprise Architecture artefacts.
5. Architectural experience in designing and implementation of infrastructure solutions, with a primary focus on AWS.
6. Experience as an Architect, demonstrated by a proven history of effectively executing network related projects.
7. Experience of designing, reviewing, improving network technology operations.
8. Demonstrate proficiency in security best practices, and access management, data protection, and network security.
9. Strong understanding of network infrastructure and architecture.
10. Understanding of interface, networking, and data warehousing technologies is essential.
11. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling successful collaboration with teams across different functions.
12. Established leadership capabilities, with a proven record of coaching and nurturing team members.
Highly Desirable:
1. Knowledge of the logistics landscape and awareness of the procedures, software, and technological essentials of this business.
2. CCNP, CISSP qualification or equivalent.
3. AWS Cloud Certification.
4. Expertise in infrastructure settings.
5. Solid experience of architecture framework and security principles.
6. TOGAF or BCS Certification.
