Position Title: Field Service Supervisor

Summary:
The Field Service Supervisor (UK) will be an integral part of the service team, leading the Snr Service and Service Technicians to successfully complete preventative and corrective maintenance of CSI Energy Storage’s Solbank Storage Power Block (SPB). The individual will also be responsible for fulfilling obligations under Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Field Service Supervisor will play a key role in client management, ensuring RAMS approvals are in place, supporting the SR Service Manager, and liaising with the BESS Planning Coordinators to plan works, schedule outages, and onboard new sites. The successful candidate must be able to travel and complete tasks at various project sites throughout the UK.
Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a service environment is required.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and assign tasks to Snr Service and Service Technicians
• Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to the team.
• Coordinate site visits for Snr Service and Service Technicians to complete scheduled tasks.
• Oversee and execute preventative and corrective maintenance of SPBs, ensuring warranty compliance.
• Manage client interactions related to RAMS approvals and service delivery.
• Work closely with the BESS Planning Coordinators to schedule and plan outages and site work.
• Support the SR Service Manager and ensure seamless service execution.
• Facilitate onboarding of new BESS sites, including integration into service operations
• Fulfill LTSA obligations for BESS equipment, including: o Energy Storage Cabinets (ESCs) o Power Conversion Stations (PCS) o Ring Main Units (RMUs) / Switchgear o Transformers o SCADA and networking devices
• Provide onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting, and hands-on support to maintain equipment and meet availability and capacity guarantees.
• Supervise subcontractors as required on site.
• Assist in the development and refinement of standard operating procedures and service processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of work order documentation.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts.
• Perform proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and switching procedures as required.
• Deliver client training sessions during service activities when necessary.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Carry out additional duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 2 years Team Leader/Supervisor role
• Qualified Electrical Technician
• Minimum 5 plus years’ relevant work experience in a service environment preferably in renewable energy
• Construction Skills Certification Scheme will be beneficial.
• Previous training and knowledge of inverters
• Knowledge of BESS equipment preferred.
• SCADA experience will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and Energy Storage system applications is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel)
• Previous experience with a CMMS software program preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• First Aid Trained will be beneficial.
• Must be able to travel to regional locations as needed.
• Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team.
• Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
