Clinical Associate Psychologist (Band 6) - Adult Mental Health - Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust
Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust – Ramsgate, Kent
A Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) is a semi-autonomous psychological practitioner working under the direct supervision of an experienced and HCPC registered clinical psychologist, delivering treatment within their scope of practice. CAPs are scientist-practitioners who utilise psychological knowledge, research, and theory to reduce psychological distress and enhance psychological wellbeing in the clients they work with. The post holder will be responsible for assisting in providing highly specialist psychology services to adults with complex psychosis with co-morbid conditions (e.g. ASD, substance misuse) and their families.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Associate Psychologist to work within the community rehabilitation service in East Kent. Everyone in the team is committed and passionate with a strong, shared values base: placing the person with psychosis and their family at the centre of care.
The post-holder will work semi-autonomously alongside community rehabilitation multi-disciplinary colleagues. The role will involve provision of individual and manualised group psychological therapy, positive behaviour support, and delivering training. The role also involves service evaluation and audits. The post holder will work in collaboration with MDT colleagues, service users, carers, community services, and partner organisations towards the overall provision of evidence-based, cost-effective, direct and indirect person-centred interventions.
