We are looking for SEN Class Teachers across various subjects to join a vibrant Special School in Southend. Only candidates with the relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) will be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver lessons that are adapted to meet the needs of students with special educational needs (SEN).
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and learning.
* Assess and monitor student progress, tailoring strategies to support individual development.
* Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Participate in whole-school initiatives to enhance the learning environment and curriculum.
* Promote the school’s ethos of inclusivity and high expectations for all students.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in teaching is desirable but not essential; passion and commitment are key.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of learning needs and styles.
* Proficiency in creating engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn about special educational needs and strategies to support students.
* Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) are preferred.
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a dedication to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
