Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen in Oakwood Unit for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic band 2 Activity coordinator for a full-time post (37.5hrs) The post includes working week ends and Bank Holidays. Regular shift pattern of 0800 to 1600 with time being negotiable and adjustable. Oakwood is a nurse led community inpatient hospital with 24 beds. We are a very friendly team with In-House doctors, Nurses, health care assistants, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Multi Therapy assistants. The role aims to support patients in increasing rehabilitative goals and functional abilities during a short stay to enable them to return home. We are looking for dynamic and motivated staff, who can co-ordinate and lead a programme of therapeutic activities for patients appropriate to their rehabilitation needs, provide effective communication skills, a flexible approach, and an ability to work independently under pressure. Main duties of the job Plan a range of therapeutic activities that are appropriate for the needs of patients in agreement with the multi-disciplinary team. Attend the multi-disciplinary team meetings providing feedback on patients and participating in decision making.
