As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and materials for individual student needs.
- Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Use strategies and interventions to assist with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour management.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
- Develop strong relationships with students, encouraging confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has prior experience working with children or young people with SEN, such as autism, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties.
- Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential.
- Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Holds relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential, as additional training can be provided).
- A background in supporting children with SEN in educational settings.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to working with a range of needs and behaviours.
- The ability to create a safe and nurturing learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
