Job Description
Rullion requires 6 x Dual Skilled Fitters with electrical and mechanical competencies, supported with relevant qualifications, for a long term contract role with a high profile rolling stock company.
The position involves working within a large maintenance team stationed at Glasgow Train Care Centre on High Speed Locomotives. Whilst prior experience in rail/rolling stock is advantageous, experience in either Aerospace, Military engineering or large transportation will be considered.
The ideal candidate must hold at least an SVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or its equivalent).
This role is on a 4on/4off Permanent Night Shift basis (Therefore must be happy to work nights)
Rates are:
£29.21 per hour Umbrella - first 12 weeks
£35.05 per hour Umbrella - Post 12 weeks
PPE is provided by Rullion and Tooling provided by the client.
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, you will serve as a senior member of the team, responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing locomotives. Working within the team, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective servicing and maintenance of traction and rolling stock while continually striving to enhance quality.
Main tasks of the role:
* Corrective maintenance (Electrical or Mechanical, Coach Repairing & Plumbing)
* Preventative maintenance (Electrical or Mechanical, Coach Repairing & Plumbing)
* Basic maintenance competency e.g.: side skirt cleans, brake pads, block changes etc.
* Primary fault finding/reporting
* Secondary fault finding
* Depot or fleet specific requirements where required
* Service exams
Key skills and requirements for the role include:
- Proficient in detailed fault-finding.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
