We are looking for an experienced compliance professional tojoin the Amazon Payments UK (APUK) team to support complianceoperations of the firm. Reporting to APUK’s Senior ComplianceManager, the Compliance Manager will be responsible for supportingregulatory compliance of the payments propositions within the UK.
The Compliance Manager will be part of the2nd line Compliance Office and responsible for providing regulatoryoversight and approval for new programs, providing expert advice tostakeholders and supporting strategy design with regulatoryinput.
This opportunity requires a subjectmatter expert to contribute within a fast-paced, growing team. Youwill champion customer outcomes and use your knowledge of theindustry and regulatory horizon to ensure sustainable, compliantsolutions are formed. You will comfortably handle ambiguity, andprovide pragmatic challenge to colleagues, peers and leadership andyou are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into thedetails. You think outside of the box, coming up with solutions intimes of ambiguity.
Key jobresponsibilities
• Assist in ensuring APUK’s paymentactivities operate in accordance with all legal and regulatoryrequirements by monitoring the compliance of business activity
• Provide advice on regulatory requirements, includingin the development of compliance requirements for new businesspropositions
• Assist with the development, documentationand maintenance of policies and procedures
• Providecompliance awareness and training to the business
•Prepare reporting to internal governance committees
•Review, challenge and approve risk records, policy breaches andmatters for escalation
• Work with business leads toidentify and collate relevant information to respond to requestsfor information from auditors and regulators (ad hoc and regulatoryreturns).
• Maintain up to date knowledge of relevantregulations by monitor regulatory change and emerging risk fromregulatory sources, to proactively communicate key developments tointernal stakeholders and support the implementation of regulatorychange.

BASICQUALIFICATIONS
- • Minimum of four years generalistcompliance experience in financial services working in risk andcompliance, or within a financial regulatory body or consultancypractice
- • A good understanding of the Payment ServicesRegulations 2017 and FCA regulations, in areas including complainthandling, safeguarding, operational resilience and consumerduty.
- • Excellent team player with the ability to workclosely with others to deliver results, identify and resolveissues; shares information and keeps team members and managementinformed
- • Excellent organisational skills with theability to prioritise workload and manage various taskssimultaneously.
- • The ability and willingness to learnnew skills and upskill quickly to be an SME on newrequirements
- • Strong and demonstrable influencing,stakeholder management, presentation and communicationskills.
- • Resilient and able to thrive and lead in afast paced, entrepreneurial environment
- • Strongjudgment and analytical thinking

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
