Economic Growth Officer
Fixed Term Contract - up to 24 months
Full Time - 37 hours per week
NS10 - £35,235 to £37,035 per annum
Newark and Sherwood District Council has an exciting opportunity for an Economic Growth Officer to join our dedicated team!
The Economic Growth and Visitor Economy team lead on a variety of transformational projects and investment programmes across the business growth, inward investment, skills development and economic regeneration agenda. As an Economic Growth Officer, your role will involve:
Working closely with the Programmes Manager to support the delivery of a range of Government funded Programmes, such as the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Levelling-Up Fund and Towns Fund.
Supporting, and engaging with local businesses, including responding to enquires through key account management, and the provision of business advice and guidance.
Collecting and evaluating data to support the delivery and monitoring of economic programmes, and to gather insight relating to local economic trends and investment priorities.
Leading the delivery of business growth schemes and working with a range of stakeholders to develop and promote a package of support for local enterprises.
This role will require candidates to:
Be educated to degree level.
Be able to travel for meetings, with regular access to a vehicle.
