MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
This position is offering 26.5 hours per week £31,468.75 per annum (FTE £47,500.00) working 8am to 5pm
As a Paramedic, you will be part of a close team working together to use your clinical expertise and skills to take full responsibility of the health, safety and welfare of custodies within the court setting. You will be responsible for diagnosis, identifying appropriate interventions, maintaining records and providing clinical advice and guidance in a court setting. Experience within a prison secure establishment would be an advantage.
Duties include:
1. Adhere to and implement CQC and local policies and procedures whilst working within the NMC/HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.
2. Apply critical analysis to the synthesis of complex information during the care process to provide accurate advice and health information and medication to patients in order to empower and enable them to act upon advice given.
3. Keep immediate and accurate records of service user enquiries to the service during the consultation.
4. Accurately document consultation notes in a timely fashion to allow for suitable clinical guidance and intervention.
5. Identify and use information sources to support and underpin clinical decision-making.
6. Recognise opportunities for providing health education during the consultation process and to supply such information either in person or by referring to appropriate health care providers as required.
7. Refer to Service Delivery Manager, peers or colleagues as necessary for advice, but to maintain accountability and responsibility for decisions made in relation to clinical calls and operational needs.
8. Demonstrate the ability to remain focused on service delivery whilst dealing with an unpredictable, diverse and challenging workload.
9. Maintain a working knowledge of standard procedures and escalate issues affecting service delivery as necessary.
