This post will be based at the Maxillofacial Department at Peter Mount Building.
You will work as part of a team providing comprehensive and flexible administrative support among our sub-specialty teams. The work is challenging and varied, providing high-quality admin support for consultants and their teams, as well as a reception service and dealing with patient telephone inquiries.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to join our friendly Patient Services team, who are committed to delivering a high-quality service and providing the very best standard of care for our patients. You will have attention to detail and the ability to prioritize your own work to meet deadlines. You will have good interpersonal skills liaising with patients, medical and nursing staff as well as colleagues across the division. The Division provides an extensive range of services and facilities for both adults and children. We actively encourage personal development and access to training. Accordingly, your own structured personal development plan will support your future development and give you every chance to further develop your excellent interpersonal skills and IT systems and typing experience.
Main duties of the job

Then this may just be the job you have been looking for! Our Patient Services are vital for patient care with over 90,000 patient visits per year. Team members working in these service areas are usually the first point of contact for our patients, and this sets the quality standard for their journey within the hospital. Excellent customer service skills are, therefore, essential to provide our patients with the experience you would wish for yourself, your relatives, and loved ones. We have an exciting opportunity in our Patient Services team, and if you feel you can positively impact the patient experience, we want to hear from you. Basic keyboard skills and experience of using IT are required along with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and other visitors. You will preferably have some customer/patient facing experience in a busy environment, and you will need to be adaptable and committed to an important role. Full training for the whole range of duties is provided. You will be supported and welcomed to the Manchester Dental Hospital. Full-time positions are based on a five-day week, 37.5 hours.
