We are working with a top tier insurance firm who are seeking a highly skilled and motivated EL/PL Public Sector Claims Handler to join their specialised Public Sector team in Bristol, working on behalf of various insurance clients and public authorities. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal professional to handle a range of complex cases, with a focus on both fast and intermediate track matters, valued up to £100k. As an EL/PL Public Sector Claims Handler, you will: Analyse and consider primary and secondary liability in EL/PL claims. Handle cases specific to public authority functions, such as prison claims. Manage cases in line with client service level agreements (SLAs). Set strategy, review evidence, and handle disclosure. Conduct investigations, CMCs and applications. Instruct counsel, investigators and medical experts as needed. Draft general correspondence, research, pre-trial reports and costs schedules. Attend conferences and trials with counsel, prepare and check trial bundles. Desired Skills and Experience: Proven experience managing a caseload of EL/PL Files. Previous litigation experience is a must. Excellent advocacy, communication, and client care skills. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
