Nursery Manager, full time, whole year, permanent contract
Our vibrant and friendly day nursery is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative person to join and lead our team. Candidates should be positive, energetic, patient and willing to work with children, parents and colleagues to grow the nursery. You will lead the team to foster independent growth and assist children to learn at their own pace through self-correcting lessons, helping them to reach their full potential.
Our Nursery is situated within the grounds of Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough and provides an outstanding, rich, exploratory provision that nurtures the individual. We use curiosity to build upon a child’s understanding of the world, preparing them for each stage of their learning journey. We are a friendly, welcoming nursery that prides itself on equality and inclusion that builds creative and confident learners.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
1. Lead and manage the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education and care.
2. Foster a positive, energetic, and patient environment for children, parents, and colleagues.
3. Promote independent growth and self-paced learning.
4. Ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding standards.
5. Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections.
To be considered for this role you will need:
1. Previous Nursery Manager experience, including excellent EYFS and Safeguarding knowledge.
2. Experience of working in an Ofsted Good or Outstanding setting and preparing for Ofsted inspections.
3. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
4. A passionate and positive attitude towards working with children.
5. A full and relevant childcare qualification (level 3 or above).

Salary: £33,000 to £36,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
Hours of Working: 40 hours per week, early starts and late finishes required on a rota basis with other members of staff
Holiday Arrangements: 25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays
