Job summary Permanent Static Band 6 Physiotherapist in Post-Acute Medicine. The role will be mainly based on the adult and general medical wards at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Kent, and when required cross cover the adult and general medical wards at Orpington Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic band 6 Physiotherapist to become part of the post-acute medical team. Main duties of the job The post holder will independently manage a clinical caseload within the inpatient adult or general medical wards, which will include more complex cases. They will supervise and support band 5 members of staff, as well as students, with support from senior team and clinical leads. There is a well-established in service education programme, where you can build upon your clinical skills, and develop managerial skills with support from senior team and clinical leads. The post holder will also contribute to the in house training and development programme. Attendance at post registration courses is also supported. Candidates will be expected to join and partake in our overnight emergency on-call rota, so previous experience of working on an on-call rota or working within a seven day rota. You will also be expected to cover cross site at Orpington Hospital to cover the general/ adult medical wards when required, which can be at short notice if unexpected leave is planned affecting staffing levels.
