Summary
Looking to support your local academy? We are looking for a engaging and committed Student Welfare Officer to assist in student welfare our Academy.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Your responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining the register of vulnerable students, including looked after students, those on the child protection register, refugees, YOT or children identified as being in need
• Organising meetings as for vulnerable students, ensuring all relevant parties are invited, preparing paperwork and taking minutes
• Assisting in home visits
• Administering correspondence and collate information for students who are attending respite or off-site provision
• Maintaining the register and tracking systems for students on PSP (at risk of permanent exclusion)
• Organising PSP review meetings, ensuring all relevant parties are invited, preparing paperwork and taking minutes
• Ensuring the smooth running of the student information centre (SIC)
• Communicating effectively with all external agencies, including possible alternative providers
