Salary: £39,392- £41,953 pro rata (depending on experience) + £5,000 Welcome Bonus (dependant on hours)

The hospital specialises in the management and treatment of patients experiencing an acute mental health crisis with two dedicated acute wards as well as a specialised unit to support patients with a diagnosis of an eating disorder. Services work in partnership with the NHS to provide the best quality outcomes for all patients. An extensive clinical and nursing team work alongside therapy disciplines of Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Activity Coordinators throughout the hospital. Patients can access ward specific therapeutic programmes aimed at enhancing skills, self-care, coping strategies etc to support their admission and discharge into the community.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Nurse on our Eating Disorder ward.
The role involves:
1. Leading the delivery of a comprehensive service user nursing assessment.
2. Planning, implementation and evaluation of person centred care in a collaborative way of both their physical and mental healthcare needs.
3. Maintaining the service user's rights; supervising junior staff and students.
4. Working collaboratively with the MDT.
5. Maintaining a safe and therapeutic working environment and accurate records.
6. Excellent role modelling to clinical colleagues.
7. An ability to work to a high standard on your own initiative as well as part of a team, maintaining all Priory values including striving for excellence.
To be successful as Senior Nurse, you'll need:
1. Qualified Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability Nurse with 6-12 months post registration.
2. Evidence of continued professional development in relevant field.
3. Experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship or equivalent programme.
4. Knowledge of NMC standards guidelines, requests and professional practices.
5. Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
6. High levels of communication skills within the patient group and clinical team.
