The Role: As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be the welcoming face of our business, helping customers with their tailoring and alteration needs. Your role will involve creating a friendly, professional shopping experience while ensuring the shop runs smoothly. Your Responsibilities: • Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries about our services. • Provide advice on garment adjustments and the alteration process. • Help with pinning and marking garments for alterations under the tailor's guidance. • Keep accurate records of customer orders, fitting schedules, and deadlines. • Process payments, including cash and card transactions. • Monitor and manage stock levels of materials and tools, placing orders as needed. • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment. • Arrange garments neatly on racks and prepare fitting rooms with necessary tools. • Handle basic admin tasks like answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing bookings. What We’re Looking For: • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing role. • Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. • Strong numeracy skills to handle transactions accurately. • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
