Job Title: Administrator (Project Worker) Type: Temporary Contract – 2 months with permanent potential Location: Bargoed Hourly Rate: £12.50 - £14.57 Hours: Part time - 20 per week BRC are working with a great organisation in the Rhondda valley who are looking for a Project Coordinator to join them on a temporary contract basis. You will be working together with your colleagues to help stop hunger in the local area. This project is funded by local churches and community groups. You will help to make a real difference to the lives of people in the community. This is people focused role therefore the ideal person for this role will be friendly, compassionate, and non-judgemental. Responsibilities (not limited to): You will support the chief officer in coordinating a team of volunteers to work alongside the support coordinator to ensure that all areas of the foodbank are run efficiently and to a high standard. Provide the Chief Officer with regular reports on the activity of the foodbank center Bring to the attention of the Chief Officer any concerns regarding the day-to-day operation of the foodbank center Provide administration duties to assist the Chief Officer Ensure that all foodbank centre processes and procedures are followed as per the operating manual Organise the volunteer rota and flag up any shortages to the Chief Officer Ensure all completed e-vouchers and packing lists are handled discretely, stored securely, and passed on regularly to the admin volunteer/team for entering onto the data collection system Communicate with referral agencies in response to queries or issues arising from vouchers presented by clients at the foodbank centre The successful candidate will have experience in: Planning and organising people and tasks Leading and working as part of a team Good oral communication Ability to work independently and unsupervised Empathy and ability to work with people from disadvantaged, marginalised, or socially excluded backgrounds Be honest and have integrity Be passionate about tackling poverty Additional Information: Training will be provided Must be available immediately or to start the beginning of January 2025 If you have any questions in relation to this role, please call Emma Keir on To apply, please submit your CV outlining your relevant experience and qualifications.
