Shared Services Manager - HR

Location: Royal Mail, Pond Street, Sheffield. S98 6HR. This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend our Sheffield office 2/3 days per week, with flexibility required in line with business needs.

Royal Mail are looking for a HR Shared Services Manger to join their team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. As Shared Services Manger you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Pay Services with planning, process management., project delivery and process improvements of our fast-paced HR Services operation.
This is a critical operational HR Shared Services Manager role within Royal Mail’s HR shared service function. Reporting to the Head of Pay Services, you will play a key role in delivering our portfolio of services and products which fully meet the requirements of Royal Mail Group customers and stakeholders.
About the role
* You will lead a large, multi-disciplined team within a wide range of HR Services product specialisms to deliver an excellent service which meets or exceeds agreed service specifications. Total staff – c50, direct reports – 4.
* Lead delivery and improvement of all organisational template management processes, overpayment recoveries, attendance processes and all leavers including contracts, third party and employee records services.
* As process owner, you''ll provide strategic oversight, coordinate development, deliver projects, lead the project support implementing process and all system changes as a result of business policy and transformation changes across the portfolio of services.
* Engage, motivate, and communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders at all levels to ensure delivery of service to the agreed specification and successful delivery of business transformation.

Key Skills and Experience
* You’ll be a strong leader with a demonstrated history of leading large HR Services operations with proven experience in people development and increasing performance across a large portfolio of products and services.
* You’ll have solid experience in leading and motivating management teams, effective communications, stakeholder management and influencing.
* You will hold a verified performance with experience in process management, planning, project delivery and implementing process improvements.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of project management methodology and approaches.
* Knowledge of CI tools and techniques.
* Industry recognised professional HR and/or Payroll qualification.
