The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee the in-house recruitment process of this global company, from sourcing to onboarding new hires, ensuring all pre-employment tasks are completed. Delivering a positive and highly engaging candidate experience to attract, recruit and hire talent into the corporate function globally. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with internal team members and managers at all levels across the business to effectively and efficiently attract new talent to the business through innovative solutions.
Responsibilities :
1. Resourcing
– Follow the correct approval process from commencement of a new role through to the offer stage including receipt of hiring approvals prior to advertisement
- Engage with the Hiring Manager to understand recruitment and commercial requirements and agree on recruitment criteria/process as well as assessment/selection tools, key dates, and timelines, ensuring they are updated throughout the different stages of the end-to-end process.
- Manage the service delivery for the end-to-end resourcing process, taking ownership and accountability and ensuring this is done within set SLA’s and KPIs and delivered to agreed quality standards.
- Provide effective and responsive recruitment solutions to hiring managers, making informative decisions on how to best and most effectively source candidates; in-house, proactive LinkedIn searching, own networks, external agency partnerships, etc.
- Use specialist knowledge to determine the most cost-effective and efficient resourcing plan for every role.
- Coach, support, and advise managers on candidate selection to ensure the right person is hired.
2. Onboarding
Follow and ensure compliance for pre-employment requisite tasks at the prescribed stage of the recruitment and onboarding process that you oversee:
- Taking references, both verbal and written.
- Ensuring NDDs are in place prior to commencement of employment.
- Arrange assessments for use as part of the recruitment process.
- Work with 3rd party provider to undertake background checks, escalating any flags as necessary.
- Complete or arrange right to work checks.
- Liaise as necessary to ensure everything is set up for their first day including IT equipment, training plan, etc.
- Issue or organise new joiner welcome packs.
- Make offers within the approved budget, draft and send offer letters and employment contracts.
- Ensure all recruitment records and documents are recorded and uploaded.
3. Post hire and ongoing
- Capture feedback from candidates or Line Managers during the recruitment process for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Retain salary benchmarking data and compile market rate information.
- Collaborate with Group HR to build our People Management resource hub to guide Hiring Managers.
- Use proactive search to connect with potential future talent and grow our Talent Pool, working to privacy laws regarding storing and retaining personal data.
- Develop and maintain metrics in relation to recruitment.
- Assist Group HR with note-taking on an ad hoc basis as required.
Skills required :
* Strong background in recruitment at all levels from entry to Executive level recruitment.
* Experience in recruiting in a global organisation beneficial.
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* Strong skills with all MS office systems.
* High level of emotional intelligence and a strong sense of responsibility.
* Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
* Resilience and ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving and constantly changing environment with a willingness to adopt a hands-on approach.
* Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
* Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and streamlining processes and activities.
* Capable of juggling various elements simultaneously and to deadline.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Ambitious and energetic, with strong inter-personal skills.
* Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
